The faganiya is the poshak of Faag — Holi season in Rajasthan. A white or cream ground scattered with red bandhej dots, finished with red gota or magji at the edges, it is what Rajputi households wear from Basant Panchami through Holi, when every other colour steps aside for gulal.
The logic is old and practical: white receives the colour of the festival, and the red dots promise that the cloth was never plain to begin with. A faganiya suit or poshak worn with silver — never gold-heavy jewellery — is the correct, quietly confident Faag look.
