What is a real silver poshak?
A Rajputi poshak whose embroidery — tari, gota, kiran — is worked in genuine silver thread rather than plated zari. The silver is weighed and billed like the metal it is, and decades later the work can be re-polished like jewellery.
How much does a real silver poshak cost?
Real-silver work starts around ₹60,000 and commonly reaches ₹2,00,000+, depending on the density of the work and the weight of silver it carries. Each commission is quoted with the silver weighed and receipted.
How do I verify the silver is real?
Weight and paperwork. Real silver is dense — the piece has a presence plated work can't fake — and we provide the silver weight in writing with every commission. Old pieces can be brought back to the atelier for polishing, which itself is proof: polish revives silver and destroys plating.
